Despite many people warning him about his decision, swingman Eddie Robinson officially was announced to the Chicago media as a Bull today.  "I talked to a lot of people who said, 'You shouldn't do this,'" Robinson said. "I wanted to come here and see the organization for myself. I think everybody here is as nice a person as anybody can be."

So why, after turning down more money from a contender in San Antonio and waiving off interest from Detroit, near where he is from, did he pick Chicago?  On Robinson's first and only free-agent visit, Robinson's Agent James Bryant found himself in chairman Jerry Reinsdorf's private box at a White Sox game and came away impressed by the owner's commitment to winning, writes the Chicago Tribune.  Such commitment impressed Robinson.

I am sure the Bulls are also thanking Hornets boss Bob Bass for the way he handled negotiations, opening the door for Robinson to leave.
