Chris Tomasson of the Akron Beacon Journal reports: The Cavaliers have another sequel to My Left Foot.

Michael Doleac has become the team's third center this season to be set back by a left foot problem. The Cavs announced yesterday that Doleac, who already has missed four games, will be out for another five-to-six weeks due to a stress fracture. It's possible, though, that Doleac eventually might have season-ending surgery.

The Cavs all season have been without center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who is recovering from foot surgery in February but is expected back in about two weeks. And rookie center DeSagana Diop, who also had surgery on his left foot in February, missed most of training camp with a stress reaction in the same foot. Diop has sat out the last month with a knee injury, but he could play a few minutes tonight against Charlotte at Gund Arena.

``The kind of surgery would shut me down for most of the season,'' Doleac said. ``So (the doctors said) that you can wait four-to-six weeks, and hopefully it will be better. If it's not better, then you do surgery and you would have missed the rest of the season anyway.''

Cavs general manager Jim Paxson was unavailable for comment. But Lucas reiterated that the Cavs, who have the NBA maximum of 15 players on the active roster and injured list, have no immediate plans to bring in another big man.
