In recent interview with the Indianapolis Star News on Friday, Charles Oakley talked as he was lobbying for a trade to the Pacers.

"The Pacers are one player away, because the point guard (rookie Jamaal Tinsley) is making them great," Oakley said. "I could be the guy. I could play anywhere. I wouldn't need to be the main guy.

"They need one more guy who can (defend) guys down low and take pressure off Jermaine O'Neal. He'd play a lot better on the weak side blocking shots. I can definitely help Jermaine."

When asked about his comments before Saturday's victory over the Celtics, Oakley shrugged and implied that the Bulls are the only team that he doesn?t fit. Oakley also said he heard the Bulls are asking for a lottery pick as compensation for him in any trade. That doesn't seem likely as Oakley would very likely be traded to playoff contender and they generally don?t have lottery picks to trade.
