Like it or not, expectations have risen for the Pistons.
An 89-76 victory over injury-riddled Toronto on Monday at The Palace put the Pistons in a tie with Milwaukee atop the Central Division. It is the first time they have been in first place this late in a season since the 1989-90 season.
The victory also put the Pistons two games ahead of the Raptors for the fourth and final home-court playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Pistons have not had home court in a playoff series since the 1990-91 season.
"To play as well as we have played and to play as hard as we have played, it makes expectations go up," said Cliff Robinson, who scored 16 points. "We haven't really set any certain goals, but when you see an opportunity to do some things, you have to shoot for them."
