They might be summer mates as they work out during the offseason, but according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald Raptors forward Antonio Davis took exception some words spoken by Antoine Walker during the match between the two sides last night.

After his ejection Walker had some choice words for his Raptors counterparts, making a comment about how Toronto will not be appearing in the playoffs this season.

``I was merely an innocent bystander, and I think he was frustrated, but he made a comment about us going home on April 16,'' Davis said.

Walker was ejected by referee Jack Nies for 'trash talking' the Raptors, something that shocked Walker.

``When Antoine said what he said, (Nies) stepped in and said, `Well, you're going home right now,' '' Davis said. ``I mean, Antoine didn't have to say what he said. I know he was frustrated, but you have to show some composure.

``I don't know why he was so frustrated, because here's a guy with 30-something points - he's played a great game,'' Davis added. ``He doesn't have to say that stuff. You just need to be mature, man.

``But I also respect him. Every time I see him I think he's a great young man. I always find it challenging to guard him. When we go to the summer meetings, I can see that he's a really good person. Off the floor, Antoine and Paul (Pierce) have really earned new respect from me.''
