Bernard King understands all the factors that go into making a decision when you become a free agent.

"You know you're going to get the money wherever you go," the former Knick and Net said. "So it's a matter of figuring out what's most important to you."

While the Brooklyn native admits to not knowing Jason Kidd or the details that might weigh his decision, there is one overriding thing that could help Kidd make up his mind as he opts to either stay in New Jersey to try to get the Nets to a third straight NBA Finals next year, or perhaps join the champion Spurs, who knocked out the Nets in six games.

"How do you pass up an opportunity to play with Tim Duncan?" King said last night after being honored by the USBL's Brooklyn Kings prior to their game at LIU against the Brevard Blue Ducks. "He's one of the greatest centers in history, and for a player like Jason, that's an unbelievable thing."
