The trade was so unexpected and involved the core of the Lakers squad.  Leaving many in LA stunned and confused as to who the new players are.

One of the new guys, Chucky Atkins is set to make an immediate impact.  In Chucky Atkins, the Lakers are getting a quality point guard and shooter.   Atkins, who was acquired from the Pistons midway through last season, averaged 8.4 points and 3.5 assists last year.

Although the numbers do not match, Atkins, Brown, and Mihm will have something to prove this upcoming season.

It looks as though Rick Fox's acting career has come to a close and he will have to try and hawk trucks in the greater New England area from now on.
