League sorces have told ESPN.com that former Warriors head coach Eric Musselman will be hired by the Memphis Grizzlies to be Mike Fratello's top assistant.

Musselman was intially in the running to be named head coach of the club.

Musselman was in his first season as an analyst for ESPN Radio after two seasons as the head coach in Golden State, where he posted a record of 75-89.
