The Phoenix Suns have signed second-round draft pick Dijon Thompson of UCLA, the team said on Monday.

Thompson was the 54th player taken in the draft, a pick that came to the Suns as part of the deal that brought Kurt Thomas of the New York Knicks to Phoenix. The Suns sent their first-round pick, guard Nate Robinson of Washington, and Quentin Richardson to the Knicks in the deal.

The 6-foot-7 Thompson averaged 18.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season and is playing for the Suns' entry in the Las Vegas Summer League.
