The Nets signed first-round draft picks Marcus Williams and Josh Boone to multiyear contracts Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3 Williams, the 22nd overall pick of the draft, averaged 12.3 points and a Big East-high 8.6 assists for Connecticut last season. He is projected as a potential successor to point guard Jason Kidd.

At 6-10 and about 240 pounds, Boone will be counted on to add depth to the Nets' frontcourt. The 23rd overall pick averaged 10.3 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks last season for the Huskies.
