Pistons guard Ben Gordon will likely come off the bench this season.

That means Gordon, who signed a $55 million deal with Detroit this offseason, will have to gel with both the first and second units.

"It is a little difficult because you got different guys on each squad," Gordon told MLive.com. "I'm looking forward to more scrimmage time and practice time and continue to build equal chemistry with both units."

Regardless of what unit he plays with, Gordon says he'll work hard to attack opposing defenses.

"My aggression level is about the same (with starters or with backups)," Gordon said. "But when you're out there with different guys, your role changes. Depending on what shooters are on the floor, what slashers on the floor, I base what I do on the floor with whom I'm playing."
