Responding to a question about the boos he heard in Cleveland on Tuesday, LeBron James said he doesn't have a problem with the fans' reaction.

"I don't like the boos, but after a performance like [Tuesday] night, I would have booed too," James said. "I'm a Cavs fan. If I was watching the game, I would've booed too. I loved these fans. They've been great in my seven years here."

James doesn't think an apology is in order but understands why Dan Gilbert gave the statement he did in an interview with The Plain Dealer after the Cavs' blowout loss at home.

"I don't feel we have to apologize to fans," he said. "We just have to go out and give a better effort. [Gilbert's] an owner who cares about his team and cares about the fans. I guess that's what he's supposed to say."
