The 76ers have remained in contact with Doug Collins since interviewing him for their vacant head coaching position on May 1.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the two sides have been in contact "every other day."

There was initial concern that Collins might pull himself from consideration if the search dragged on, but sources say that he's encouraged by the communication he's had with general manager Ed Stefanski.

76ers forward Andre Iguodala reportedly supports the possible hiring of Collins.
