With the 2015 D-League Showcase now completed, RealGM has released its top performers from the event. We split the honors into “All-Prospect” and “All-Assignee” teams to prevent an overlap from D-League players looking for a Call-Up and NBA players competing in the event. Quincy Miller (Sacramento Kings), JaMychal Green (San Antonio Spurs), and James Michael McAdoo (Golden State Warriors) already earned Call-Ups, who could be next?

*NOTE: These lists do not include players who were called up in the middle of the event

- All-Prospect Showcase First Team

Earl Barron, Bakersfield Jam: Barron opened the Showcase with a monster 30-point, 23-rebound performance and played a crucial role on Bakersfield’s championship run. The 7-footer from Memphis averaged 20.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game while shooting 42% from the floor. As a 33-year-old that has spent time with seven different NBA teams, Barron could provide some immediate help to an NBA roster looking for size.

Vander Blue, Los Angeles D-Fenders: Blue averaged 33.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game for Los Angeles. The 6-foot-5 guard was 42.3% from the field despite shooting just 2-of-10 from three-point range and made an impact in an array of different areas. After declaring for the NBA Draft as a junior at Marquette, Blue played three games with the Celtics last season and the 22-year-old could see another Call-Up this year. He’s an explosive slasher that can play either guard spot.

Lorenzo Brown, Grand Rapids Drive: The former second round pick showed his ability to play the point guard position, averaging 18.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game while shooting 53.5% from the floor and 4-of-7 from three-point range. The 6-foot-5 Brown had been considered an athletic scoring guard coming into the year, but showed that he can effectively run the point. Brown is still just 24-years-old and was one of the top risers at the event. He should be one to keep an eye on.

Bryce Cotton, Austin Spurs: Cotton had perhaps the best single game at the showcase with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists in a win over Canton, In total, Cotton averaged 28.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per contest at the showcase while shooting 45.7% from the floor and 9-of-18 from deep. The 6-foot point guard from Providence lacks ideal size and strength for the NBA, but was one of the top players at the event. When it comes to pure gamers, Cotton has proved throughout his career that he can compete with the best.

Jordan Hamilton, Reno Bighorns: Like Cotton, Hamilton reached the 40-point mark against Rio Grande Valley to cap a successful showcase. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 27.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 56.8% shooting in Santa Cruz. A former first round pick out of Texas, the 24-year-old could be on the verge of a return to the NBA.

- All-Prospect Showcase Second Team

Andre Emmett, Fort Wayne Mad Ants: A strong, 6-foot-5 wing, Emmett averaged 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game on 50% shooting. The 32-year-old from Texas Tech showed his experience against the younger prospects. Emmett bullied smaller defenders and took bigger opponents off the bounce. He’s a unique option on the wing.

Joe Jackson, Bakersfield Jam: The undrafted rookie out of Memphis showed major improvements at the point guard position in Santa Cruz. Jackson averaged 15.3 points and 5.3 assists per game while shooting 69.2% from the floor and 3-of-5 from three-point range. The 6-foot-1 point guard is small, but extremely quick and explosive off the dribble.

Arinze Onuaku, Canton Charge: Onuaku was a monster inside for Canton, as he averaged 21.0 points and 19.5 rebounds per game. He shot 8-of-14 from the floor in both contests and has consistently provided production for the Charge. The 6-foot-9 forward from Syracuse isn’t an athletic shot-blocker, but uses his mass to clear out space inside.

Willie Reed, Grand Rapids Drive: Reed provided a tough interior presence for Grand Rapids. The 6-foot-10 power forward averaged 13.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks per game on 61.3% shooting. Reed is in his fourth professional season despite being just 24-years-old. He impressed over the Orlando Summer League with the Indiana Pacers and has continued his strong play into the D-League this year.

Reggie Williams, Oklahoma City Blue: An experienced 6-foot-6 shooting guard that has played 180 NBA games, Williams averaged 22.0 points per contest on an efficient 65.4% shooting. He also added 6.0 rebounds per game and shot 5-of-10 from three-point range. The 28-year-old southpaw shows the same scoring abilities that he displayed in the NBA.

- All-Assignee Showcase Team

Archie Goodwin, Bakersfield Jam: Goodwin was the top player for Bakersfield, averaging 23.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game on 41.0% shooting. The Phoenix Suns assignee did a good job attacking the rim in his three victories, adding 17 made free throws on 27 attempts. As just a 20-year-old, Goodwin is at his best in transition, but can still work on his jump shooting in halfcourt sets. The athletic Kentucky product has a high ceiling but is still somewhat raw.

Isaiah Canaan, Rio Grande Valley Vipers: On his first assignment of the season, Canaan averaged 21.0 points, 8.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game on 38.7% shooting. He can still limit the turnovers, as he committed 11 in just two games, but Canaan has the scoring ability and toughness for the NBA. The former second round pick from Murray State is a scoring point guard that can light it up when he’s in the zone.

Clint Capela, Rio Grande Valley Vipers: Capela opened eyes at the showcase with two efficient and productive performances. The first round pick from Switzerland averaged 21.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game on 75% shooting. He has the athleticism and length for the NBA level, as he runs the floor, can elevate for dunks or blocks, and even flashed a mid-range jumper. The Houston Rockets have to be happy to see the progression from their 6-foot-10 rookie. He might have been the best long-term prospect at the event.

Gigi Datome, Grand Rapids Drive: A shooting specialist that had played just one game with the Detroit Pistons, Datome played well in his three games with Grand Rapids. The 6-foot-9 Italian averaged 13.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 6-of-13 from three-point range. He has good size and moves well on the wing. Datome’s biggest contribution at the NBA level will come with his jumper.

C.J. Wilcox, Fort Wayne Mad Ants: The recent first round pick by the Los Angeles Clippers contributed 18.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field and 4-of-11 from deep. As a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, Wilcox is a shot-maker that may not see much NBA floor time in a crowded backcourt. Nevertheless, the Washington product showed some promise in Santa Cruz.
