The Washington Wizards plan to rehire assistant coach Larry Drew and will announce the hiring of a new trainer in the next few days to replace longtime trainer Kevin Johnson, who was fired late last week, a source said yesterday. Strength and conditioning coach Andrew Cleary also was released, the source said. Toronto Raptors assistant coach Brian James, who won't become available until the Raptors' season ends, is expected to be the third assistant coach hired. James, like Bach, was an assistant to Collins with the Pistons from 1996 to '98.
