DeSagana Diop, one of four high school players to be selected in the first eight picks of last week's NBA draft, became the first first-rounder to sign, agreeing Thursday to terms with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Under the NBA's rookie salary scale, he will receive within 20 percent of $4.95 million over three seasons.
