This didn't happen at the end of last season when the Denver Nuggets missed the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year. Posey's agent and family insisted he take a break from basketball this summer when the third-year swingman from Xavier University was supposed to be enjoying the NBA off-season. He obliged and sacrificed a week away from hoops.

Posey remains a gym rat, a basketball junkie, hopelessly addicted to honing his craft as his third season in professional basketball approaches.
