For a lifetime, they did virtually everything together.
They came into the world together, born as twins on the same 1978 December day.
They were educated together, leading their North Hollywood school (Harvard-Westlake) to two California state titles. They played in the McDonald's High School All-American All-Star Game together. They even went together to Stanford University, where both won Associated Press Honorable Mention All-America recognition after leading the Cardinal into last season's NCAA Tournament.
And then, on the night of last June 27, they went their separate ways.
Jason Collins was selected 18th in the first round of the NBA Draft by Houston, which later traded him to the New Jersey Nets.
