The Bucks did not seem concerned that Sacramento made a run at free agent Anthony Mason.

Mason would also be a good fit with the Kings because of their up-tempo, transition style of play, but Sacramento was unable to put together a sign-and-trade deal to land the all-star forward.

The Bucks have also been unsuccessful at landing Mason via a sign-and-trade. They continue to wait out Mason, hoping he will lower his four-year, $20.88 million demand before the start of the regular season.

"It's status quo," said Bucks general manager Ernie Grunfeld, who accompanied the team to Mankato. "We're always trying to improve our team, but at the same time we're concentrating on what we have here. This is the same team that almost made the Finals last season."
