When Jeff Van Gundy tells Lavor Postell to get in the game, the former St. John's standout usually gets a warm ovation from fans at Madison Square Garden. But it doesn't happen often.
Postell played in only 26 games as a rookie 14 at home. With Allan Houston, Latrell Sprewell, and Shandon Anderson at shooting guard/small forward and the possibility that Van Gundy could use either Howard Eisley or Charlie Ward as a shooting guard, it looks like another year of sitting and learning for Postell.
