Mark Jackson directs the course of the action with vocals, hand gestures and emotion. Charlie Ward makes the gritty hustle plays, diving for loose balls, deflecting passes and taking charges. Howard Eisley shoots softly from all distances, giving the Knicks a bona fide jump shooter at the point.
Those are the definitive characteristics of the Knicks' point guards, all of whom are legitimate starters. But one of them will be spending most of his time sitting near the end of the bench clapping.
