It just wasn't worth the risk.
Magic Coach Doc Rivers, with two key players already hurt back home, pulled his regulars off a slippery court Sunday and never let them return, just thankful to be going home as healthy as they arrived.
The Magic never led, and he didn't mind one bit.
The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Magic 105-97, but the outcome was inconsequential even by exhibition-game standards after both coaches questioned whether the game should even continue.
"I almost broke my neck out there," said Magic center Patrick Ewing. "It was dangerous."
