Wizards rookie Kwame Brown sat out with a sprained ankle he suffered against New York in the opener. Before the game, Wizards coach Doug Collins said that Brown wouldn't be back until the Boston game Nov. 7, at the earliest.
"It's something that he has done repeatedly," Collins said. "Like I've said before, if he were a veteran player he might be able to get back a little bit sooner. But he doesn't have the experience to play through an injury right now, so we're not going to rush him back."
Collins joked that Brown, even with the injury, was quicker than Popeye Jones.
