Last season, Dan Issel and Raef LaFrentz had words that eventually resulted in a rather hilarious mini-boycott by his players. The Rocky Mountain News is reporting the soap opera may be readying for a second season. LaFrentz was benched against the Bucks for poor play by Issel and once again, the two are going public with snide asides. LaFrentz thought the coach was premature by taking him out after missing his first five shots. "He's the coach," said LaFrentz, who will become a restricted free agent next summer because he and the Nuggets failed to agree on a contract extension before the start of the season. "It's his decision. I'm a player. If they want me on the floor, they'll put me on the floor. If not, then they'll deal with it." Issel sniped back:"My job is to win games. I've got to put the people on the floor that I think are going to help us win the game. If people are upset, they shouldn't be upset with me. They ought to be upset with their performance."
Stay tuned for the mini-series, "Mile High Mutineers, Part II".
