The Associated Press reports that Loy Vaught has officially retired. Vaught had surgery three years ago and has not been the same player since. He complained of spasms in his lower back during training camp and was placed on the injured list at the start of the season.

Vaught had two years remaining on his contract, which the Wizards bought out for about $11 million.
