Former Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson watched the Cavs and Knicks last night at Madison Square Garden.
The sight of Cavs coach John Lucas brought back some memories.
"John was one of those crazy players that could still get it done," Johnson said. "I mean, everyone knew John was going left and you couldn't stop him from going left. John's motor was always running. He was in the best shape of anyone. You better be ready for 48 minutes to go against him."
Johnson was also happy to see that Lucas was able to resume his head coaching career after his last stint as a head coach from 1994 to 1996 in Philadelphia. Johnson said hiring Lucas, a coach with the ability to relate to players, was a good move by the Cavs.
