Dick Scanlon of the Lakeland Ledger reports: Mike Miller will probably play for the first time in the regular season tonight when the Magic take on the Sacramento Kings before beginning a five-game road trip.

"I've been working out the last four days and . . . I'm not even thinking about it," Miller said Thursday. "As long as I can focus that way, I'll be fine. You just have to get used to cutting on it and not being scared, and I'm at that point now. So I'm ready to play."

The decision to take Miller off the injured list won't be made until after this morning's shootaround.

"It's not a guarantee yet, but he looked good today," said Coach Doc Rivers.

Pat Garrity (sprained right knee) probably will not play tonight and might even replace Miller on the injured list. Other possibilities are Monty Williams and Don Reid. .
