What is it about Denver these days? First Raef LaFrentz then Isaiah Rider now Nick Van Exel take after their coach. The Daily Camera reports that after a humiliating loss to Orlando, Van Exel puts the problem pretty squarely on Dan Issel's already weighted shoulders. "If you're leaving those guys out there one-on-one, you've got to change the game plan," Van Exel said. "And we never made adjustments. You've got to get the ball out of their hands and make other guys beat you. Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill are superstars. It's ridiculous to leave those two guys out there one-on-one. You can't do that. ... (But) I'm not the coach. I just go out and play."
Tracy McGrady agreed. "I don't know what their defensive scheme was, but certainly I enjoyed it."
And it wasn't as if the Nuggets were trying to outscore the Magic either. Ryan Bowen was their top scorer.
