Back in the lineup

The Charlotte Hornets' big frontline will test Magic forward Horace Grant's troublesome back in back-to-back games.

Grant returned to the lineup Friday night against the Hornets after missing Wednesday night's 117-106 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"It's tread wear," said the 36-year-old Grant, who has been bothered by back spasms.

"It's hard to tell when it's going to act up. I sleep on my side, and for years I've had to put a pillow behind my back and one between my legs."

If his back holds up, Grant also will play tonight at TD Waterhouse Centre against the Hornets, who have 7-foot center Elden Campbell and 6-11 power forward P.J. Brown.
