According to Steve Wyche of the Washington Post, Michael Jordan will undergo an MRI exam on his ailing right knee today in Chicago.  The knee has been bothering MJ since the preseason finale against the Celtics in which he hyperextended his knee going for a long rebound.  The team's spin is that the injury is not related to Jordan's age - 38, or his extensive playing time.  Coincidentally the MRI will take place two days after the Wizards played four games in five nights.  There is a chance that there could be ligament or tendon damage, but the likely scenario is inflamed tendinitis, or  in laymen?s terms, very sore knee.  MJ will most likely have to rest his knee either way, and there?s a chance he could be placed on the injured list, which would require him to miss five games.  Courtney Alexander, the second year guard who has fallen out of favor with Doug Collins so far this season, will be the player to received increased playing due to Jordan?s injury.
