Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker are the NBA's highest scoring duo. When you look at a Celtics boxscore after a win you almost always see at least one of them with twenty plus points. How often are you going to see what was reported by the Boston Herald on Sunday in Toronto? Both stars shot 25 percent from the floor, Walker finished with a team-high 17 points and seven boards (5-for-20 from the floor; 3-for-11 on treys), Pierce got into early foul trouble and struggled to nine points in 31 minutes. This just one day after posting a career-high 48 against the Nets.
The Celtics did it with tenacious defense -- paticularly by paying attention to Vince Carter and then letting the other Raptors try to beat them with outside shots.
