Their first genuine winning streak of the season has the Jazz feeling good about themselves.

Now it"s time to find out if it"s the real deal or simply a mirage.

Karl Malone scored a season-high 39 points Saturday night to spark the Jazz to a 111-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors at the Delta center.

Donyell Marshall added 21 points and John Stockton had 15 points and 13 assists as Utah won its third game in a row.

""Hopefully guys can get a little bit of confidence in themselves," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said.

""But it"s important that everybody stays focused in what we"re trying to do." It"s the first time all season the Jazz, now 9-11, have won more than one in a row, and they have defeated only one team currently with a winning record (Orlando on Nov. 12).
