According to the Deseret News, Minnesota only played their patented zone defense on 12 or 13 possessions.

"They didn't have to [play zone]," Utah Coach Jerry Sloan said. "We saw enough of it out there that it looked like we panicked on their man-to-man, we panicked on their zone, we pretty much panicked on everything that we tried to do."

Utah lost the crucial game after Minnesota went on a huge run in the third quarter.
