Jerry Stackhouse wasn't going to let this one slip away.
With the Pistons ahead 84-82 with 6:36 left, Stackhouse nailed a jumper, blocked the shot of 7-foot-3 Zydrunas Ilgauskas, hit two free throws and sparked a 9-0 run that pushed the Pistons to a 101-91 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday at The Palace.
"A .500 record is a benchmark," said Stackhouse, who had 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the 16-15 Pistons. "Especially in the East, a .500 record means you are in the playoff hunt. But that's not all we're shooting for. We don't want to be a .500 team. We want to get on a little roll here."
