A potential move by the Orlando Magic would have a significant impact in Brevard County, said Chris D'Orso, the Magic's Director of Ticket Sales and Marketing.

D'Orso said interest in tickets from Brevard County residents has been so strong this season that he is considering placing a ticket sales representative in Brevard County for next season.

He said his plan would be modeled after one the San Antonio Spurs use with a ticket office in Austin, Texas, which is about an hour from San Antonio.

D'Orso said the Magic have sold about 250 half-season and 10-game packages to Magic fans from Brevard County this season.

"More than anything I've noticed a sadness from the fans because they know this (Rich DeVos) family is so good," D'Orso said. "With this family, I'm not sure we'll fully understand what we had until they're gone.

"The first reaction I've heard from fans is that they don't want the DeVos family to go. And the second one is they're saying, 'Please don't let the Magic move or go anywhere.' I'm keep telling them, 'We're still here and we're going to be here.' This sale could take six months to two years. Who knows, we could be here two years from now talking about a new lease for the TD Waterhouse Centre."
