SCOUTING REPORT

? Hornets forward George Lynch hopes to resume his comeback from foot surgery tonight or, at the latest, on Monday at New York. Lynch played five minutes at Chicago Tuesday. Left knee tendinitis kept him out of a loss to Philadelphia Thursday. "The doctors told me this might happen because I suddenly switched from inactivity to a lot of activity," Lynch said. "I'll be fine. It's just like I'm in training camp now."

? This is the second of four Hornets-Raptors games. Charlotte won the first 104-90 on Dec. 13 at home, with six players scoring in double figures, and has won seven of eight against Toronto.

? All-Star guard Vince Carter leads the Raptors in scoring at 25.7, the NBA's fourth-best average, and is averaging 29 in five games vs. Charlotte. David Wesley, who at 6-1 is 5 inches shorter than Carter, will draw the defensive assignment. The Raptors had won four of five going into a matchup with New Jersey Friday.
