When his shot wouldn't drop or when he got beat defensively, Antonio Davis decided to take a step back and begin the painful process of self-evaluation.
The Raptors' co-captain hopes the rest of his teammates can follow his example.
Davis has reached double digits in scoring in nine consecutive games heading into tonight's tip against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves.
When the Raptors lost 96-92 to the New York Knicks on Thursday, Davis tied his season-high with 21 points and pulled down a season-high 17 rebounds.
Davis reviewed the game tape later that night when he returned to his family home.
What disturbed Davis was the Raptors' lackadaisical approach they took into the Knicks' game.
"It's disappointing, very disappointing," Davis said. "It doesn't matter how much talent we have. We have to be serious, we have to play with desire and passion.
