Jazz guard DeShawn Stevenson has been suspended without pay for three games for pleading no contest to a sexual offense, the NBA announced Friday.
Stevenson's suspension started with Friday's game against the Raptors and will include Sunday's contest with the Knicks in New York and a Monday game against the Cavaliers in Cleveland.
Stevenson was sentenced to two years probation on Monday after entering a no-contest plea to a charge of intercourse with a minor.
"The penalty handed down by the NBA was fair," said Kevin O'Connor, Jazz vice president of basketball operations. He added that the team "would not take any further disciplinary action in the matter."
