HIGH POINT
John Stockton and Karl Malone continued to play some of their best basketball of the season. During the Jazz's three-game winning streak, Stockton has averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 assists in 29.3 minutes. He has made 15 of 25 field-goal attempts and 12 straight free throws. Malone has averaged 27.7 points, 11 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 40 minutes.
LOW POINT
The Jazz missed 10 free throws -- enough to make a difference in a closer game. They went 22-for-32 from the line, 68.8 percent. They went 5-for-10 in the final 8:45 of the third quarter, when they could have opened a cozy lead. Instead, Toronto trailed only 64-60 heading into the fourth quarter.
TURNING POINT
Playing his third game in four nights, the 39-year-old Stockton had 12 points on 4-for-4 shooting in the final 8:49. The 38-year-old Malone had seven points and four assists in the fourth quarter, including back-to back passes to Bryon Russell for layups that bumped the Jazz's lead to 70-63.
