It was a scary moment for the Pistons.
With 8:44 left in the game, Jerry Stackhouse was lying face-down on the court with his left arm curled awkwardly underneath his body.
"When you are playing hard and they are playing hard, tough plays like that happen," Stackhouse said.
Stackhouse was ascending to the basket when Brian Grant grabbed at his shoulder and spun him around. Anthony then bumped Stackhouse, which forced an awkward fall.
"I don't think anything was intentional," Stackhouse said. "I broke my fall with my (right) hand and my thumb hurts a little bit. But I will be all right."
Referees assessed a personal foul on Grant and a flagrant foul on Carter. Stackhouse made all three free throws to spark an 11-2 run that took the Pistons from eight points down to one up with 4:18 left.
But the Pistons managed only four free throws the rest of the way.
