Donyell Marshall didn"t get a crack at the Sacramento Kings until late in the regular season but once he did, everything changed.

Injuries kept Marshall out of the first two games and the Jazz lost those by 33 and 26 points.

The third meeting with the Kings was the day Marshall returned from a 14-game stint on the injured list. He played sparingly and the Jazz lost by 27. But in the final regular season game between the Jazz and Kings - with Karl Malone sitting out - Marshall scored a season high 32 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

More important, the Jazz lost by just eight points and were in it to the end, proving to themselves that the Kings were beatable.
