Fate seemed against the Sacramento Kings in Game 4 yet the team was able to dig deep to pull out the unlikeliest of victories, 115-113 in overtime, to go up 3-1 in their second round series against the Mavericks.

With All-Star Peja Stojakovic ruled out before the game with a sprained ankle the Kings were short handed from the start.  But as the game went into overtime things went bad to worse, Chris Webber missing for the final 10 minutes and Vlade Divac missing for the final four with six personal fouls.  The scores were tied with only 15 seconds to go in the game, the team?s big three missing? It was time for someone to stand tall.  Enter Mike Bibby.

Mike Wise of the New York Times writes ?On the baseline with 15 seconds remaining, Bibby, the Kings' 6-foot-1 point guard, crossed up and churned past Finley, a taller and more agile guard. Rising over the 7-foot Nowitzki, Bibby switched the ball from his left hand to his right and flicked it into the net with 12.2 seconds left in overtime.?

"If I didn't shoot, I was going to pass," Bibby said. "Somebody would have an open shot. But no one came at me."

"With this team, you cannot say, `No way.' Too much good players coming off the bench and already in the game," added reserve Hedo Turkoglu.

The Kings survived a game in which Dallas? big three - Dirk Nowitzki, Michael Finley, and Steve Nash ? combined to score 83 of the Maverick?s 113 points, a fact which left the Mavs feeling disappointed.

"We were in a good position to win all night long," said Nowitzki. "We pretty much got what we wanted. We got both of their big guys to foul out. But we couldn't capitalize. It's a tough loss, and I still can't believe we lost this game."

The Mavericks now face elimination Monday in Sacramento.
