The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed 2002 first round draft choice Curtis Borchardt to a three-year contract. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Borchardt, a 7-0 center from Stanford, averaged 16.9 points and 11.4 rebounds (3rd in the nation) as a junior and was named Honorable Mention All-America by the Associated Press. During his three seasons, he averaged 10.2 points and 7.2 rebounds, while connecting on .534 percent from the field in 66 games.
