With a growing losing streak on their tail and no easy games under their nose, the Jazz are in the midst of a real dog-days sort of stretch.
"We are in a bit of a funk," power forward Karl Malone said after Utah whimpered in Oakland on Saturday night, losing 108-95 to a Golden State Warriors team it had beaten in 29 of its 31 previous meetings.
With losses earlier in the week to the Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio, too, the Jazz went from winners of four straight to losers of three in a row.
"I guess we were a little disappointed with the San Antonio loss (Friday)," forward Matt Harpring said. "Maybe it carried over a little bit (Saturday)."
