The Associated Press reports that Hornet?s guard Baron Davis will miss at least a month with torn cartilage in his left knee. The injury was suffered during Friday?s loss to Portland. He is scheduled for arthroscopic surgery to repair the damage.

Earlier today, the Hornets moved Davis to the injured list, signed Randy Livingston to a 10-day contract to take his place and waived Matt Bullard.

Bullard has been on the injured list all season with degenerative disk disease. Livingston comes in from the Continental Basketball Association where he was averaging 14 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds per game with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Davis, who averaged 17 points and 7 assists for the Hornets, will have a more definite timetable for his return after the procedure is complete.
