Matt Harpring was booed even more loudly than Karl Malone -- an NBA rarity -- when he was introduced at First Union Center on Friday.
And that ranks as the highlight of his night.
Harpring, who left the 76ers as a free agent last summer, made only one of his seven shots from the field against his former team, then landed on Malone's foot while jumping for a rebound in the second quarter.
Harpring left the game a few minutes later, and was in such pain, the Jazz had his ankle X-rayed. No break was found, but Harpring was wearing a protective boot afterward, and Jazz trainer Gary Briggs said it is doubtful that he will play Sunday in New Jersey.
