Chris Broussard of the New York Times reports: 1999 first-round draft choice Fr?d?ric Weis might still have a chance to join the New York Knicks.

For those of you who don't know who he is, Weis is that guy that Vince Carter did the nasty dunk on in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Despite a bad relationship between the two sides, Layden hasn't closed the door on bringing Weis over to the States.

"We haven't dismissed him by any means," Layden said. "Whether he'll work out or be over here, I don't know. But he's 25, he's still a young guy and he's got that thing you can't teach."

"I don't think it would be out of the question to have him come over," Layden said. "It's something we'll discuss after the season."

Over the past two seasons, Weis has played for Baloncesto Malaga in Spain. However, he hasn't done much. In 16 minutes of action per game, Weis has averaged just 2.8 points and 4.5 rebounds.
