With nearly one-third of the NBA teams looking for head coaches, it was only a matter of time before the Nets' highly-regarded assistant, Eddie Jordan, entered the picture. Consider him entered.
Jordan yesterday interviewed with 76er GM Billy King about the head coaching opening created when Larry Brown resigned last week, sources in Philadelphia confirmed. The two men met away from Philadelphia.
Jordan declined all comment on his status or the meeting. He has become an intriguing commodity around the league and has drawn interest in both Washington and Toronto. Reports that the Sixers received permission from Portland to talk with Maurice Cheeks were not accurate so Jordan is obviously an attractive candidate.
