Now that those awkward high school years are done, LeBron James can work on making a name for himself.
All James did was turn Akron, Ohio, into one-stop shopping for the first pick in the NBA draft. He won three state titles in four years, made the cover of Sports Illustrated, drew comparisons to NBA legends and made $90 million by signing an endorsement contract with Nike.
Then came graduation, literally and figuratively, from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
The next stop: the Cleveland Cavaliers, the winner of the NBA's draft lottery. Thursday, James will become the first pick overall.
"I'm not going to guarantee no championship, I can tell you that," James said. "We'll be a lot better team than last year, I can guarantee that."
