Every NBA Draft begins with a theme, and the 2003 version will be no different. The only difference is that this draft has more than one.

It has been called the Point Guard Draft, and it has been called the LeBron Draft, and if you subscribe to either one, these are the names you'll follow Thursday night (7, ESPN). There are as many as seven point guards who may be chosen in the first round, and that doesn't even include LeBron James himself, who the Cleveland Cavaliers promise to try out at point guard in summer league play next month.

The purest point, however, is T.J. Ford, who is so good he will make history: When his name is announced in the first hour of the proceedings, he will become the first sub-6-footer chosen in the top 10 in nearly a decade (Damon Stoudamire, No. 7, 1995).
